Prior to joining NEA-IndoUS Ventures in 2009, Sumit was with HSBC India and has executed various transactions in M&A, Capital Markets and LBOs. He has played an important role in several successful cross border M&A and Joint Venture transactions as a key member of the investment banking team at HSBC. Earlier, he has spent many years with British Gas India as an Economist and has worked closely with consortium partners and government teams in executing upstream oil and gas projects.

Sumit holds an MBA from IIM Calcutta with majors in Systems and Finance, and a B-Tech from IIT Kharagpur.
